GAMEFINITY.ID, Bandung – The Game Awards 2022 hanya tinggal kurang lebih sebulan dan setiap nominasinya baru saja diumumkan. Sesuai prediksi, God of War: Ragnarok mendominasi daftar nominasi. Saingan ketatnya adalah Elden Ring dan Horizon: Forbidden West yang mendapat cukup banyak nominasi.

God of War: Ragnarok Memimpin Nominasi

Geoff Keighley mengumumkan nominasi The Game Awards 2022 melalui live stream pada 14 November 2022. God of War: Ragnarok menyabet 10 nominasi termasuk kategori Game of the Year, Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, dan Best Action/Adventure. Meski baru rilis 9 November 2022, nyatanya animo kritikus dan pemain berhasil membuat God of War: Ragnarok mendominasi daftar nominasi.

Saingan God of War: Ragnarok di antaranya Elden Ring dan Horizon: Forbidden West yang mendapat 7 nominasi. Elden Ring menjadi satu lagi game yang digadang-gadang merebut Game of the Year. Game besutan FromSoftware itu juga mendapat nominasi di kategori Best Game Direction, Best Narrative, dan Best RPG.

Ketiga game tersebut harus bersaing dengan A Plague Tale: Requiem, Stray, dan Xenoblade Chronicles 3 dalam memperebutkan penghargaan Game of the Year. Hadirnya Xenoblade Chronicles 3 di kategori Game of the Year ikut mengejutkan pemain. Pasalnya, mereka memperkirakan game RPG besutan Nintendo itu akan mendapat snub.

Penentuan Pemenang di The Game Awards 2022

Deretan nominasi di The Game Awards 2022 telah ditentukan oleh dewan juri yang berisi 100 platform media global. Penentuan pemenang dari setiap kategori akan ditentukan oleh 90 persen dukungan dewan juri dan 10 persen dukungan publik.

Pemain dapat mendukung game favoritnya di situs resmi The Game Awards atau di server Discord-nya. Laman voting akan ditutup 7 Desember 2022 pada pukul 18.00 waktu Pasifik.
